Pine Bluff

Pine Bluff Bridge is a three span prestressed girder bridge that was built in 1990. A couple of years after construction the girders started to develop cracks near their ends. The County tried to repair them with prestressing bars. But then the cracks moved past the end of the prestressing bars. So ultimately the County decided to replace the superstructure to this bridge. We designed the superstructure replacement. The replacement was constructed out of prestressed concrete girders supported by strengthened pier caps.
