High Country Senior Center

We provided structural engineering services for the High Country Senior Citizen Center. The facility is a 9,300 square foot single story building with an exposed glu-lam truss roof and tongue and groove decking over the dining and multi-purpose areas. Open web steel joists support the roof over the administrative and senior use wing of the building. The lateral force resisting system consists of steel moment frames with wood infill wall framing. The foundation consists of concrete spread footings and a concrete slab on grade floor with a radiant heat system.

The administration and senior wing contains a food services area, office space, common use and craft rooms, and health care facilities.
